SUMMARY:Athens GA  Classic City Marathon
DESCRIPTION:The Athens Radio Club is looking for volunteers to help with one of the fastest growing marathons in Georgia! Not only will this be a great public service\, it’s also great for deployment training!\n\n\n\n\n\n  \n\n  \nTHIRD ANNUAL CLASSIC CITY MARATHON\, HALF MARATHON\, AND MARATHON RELAY \n  \nThis is the third year that ham radio operators have supported this event. Organizers are expecting 2000+ runners to participate. That is quite a bit larger than last year. We need at least 16 operators!. A command center will be set up\, and we will assign shadow operators to key personnel. We will need to be on site no later than 6:45 am. Please sign up as soon as you have decided to work this one – we need to know how many folks we can count on. This is a staggered race\, so operators can leave their stations as soon as the runners clear. More details on that as we make assignments The date is Saturday\, January 24th\, which coincides with Winter Field Day.
